Come and help at our Christian Charity in the UK!
We are a Christian Charity with a volunteer programme looking for Christians who want to volunteer for 1 month up to 6 weeks. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a busy hospitality team of Christian young people. You will help prepare the centre, welcome guests on arrival and serve in the dining room when guests have meals. You will be a key part in helping with the Charity's mission to transform young lives and make a difference. In return for working for us we provide day trips to UK locations so you can explore the country. there are bikes at the centre that you can borrow to cycle to local areas, and there are good bus routes nearby. Sometimes you will get to try the activities and help our instructors practice their teaching skills. It is quite secluded but a great opportunity to disconnect with the busyness of the world and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. You may sometimes work over the weekend depending on the rota and when guests are in, but you will have time off each week. We also provide some English lessons and encourage all volunteers to speak English while on site to improve their skills.

A Brief Overview of Our Faith and Where We Attend Church Services:
As a Christian Charity we want to encourage all volunteers to grow in their Christian faith. Volunteers are expected to have a Christian faith, be committed to the centre’s Christian fellowship and will have regular Bible studies (in English) on centre as well as the opportunity to worship and get involved with a local church (there are many which staff regularly attend). Our Charity has an ethos statement which aligns with the Evangelical Statement of Faith and we have staff from every denomination so you'll fit right in. Every Monday morning there is an all-staff meeting where we come together to hear teaching or pray and worship to start the week right. Then Friday afternoon there is another meeting to finish the week in prayer. Regular studies happen throughout the week and staff living on-site often spend time together discussing the bible or praying and worshiping.
Over the course of a normal week, we expect our traveler(s) to contribute about this many hours:
37.5 hours a week, worked on a rota, depending when groups are on site. Usually you will work one of two shifts a day, one to cover breakfast and lunch, another to cover the afternoon and evening meal. The rota is prepared in advance and you will have two days off a week. If you want to travel you can request different times off, and with enough notice we can change the rota in most cases.
Accommodations / living arrangements for volunteers:
Accommodation is provided free of charge with a weekly allowance for meals and basic toiletries via an online order from a supermarket and there are shared kitchen facilities to cook your own food. Laundry and cleaning facilities are provided. You will be living in shared single sex accommodation and likely to have your own room. You can mix with your fellow volunteers and get to know our instructors who live onsite too. Friendships are created for life on our programme.

Our Staff's Review (Required For Hosts: Please phonetically spell your name)
I had the absolute pleasure of connecting with Abigail and Vanessa during their host verification call, and I walked away deeply encouraged and inspired. Their kindness and dedication to ministry shone brightly throughout our conversation. It’s clear they have a heart for service and a genuine love for the volunteers they welcome on a regular basis. Their camp is set on a breathtaking ranch in the UK, surrounded by God’s creation—it’s the kind of place where faith, fellowship, and fun come together in such a natural way. They’re seeking Christian volunteers who are eager to lend a hand and be part of something meaningful, whether that’s through assisting with camp activities, helping maintain the property and prepare meals, or simply being a positive presence among the staff and campers. Abigail and Vanessa exemplify the spirit of Cross Exchange—creating safe, purpose-driven environments where believers can grow, serve, and connect. We’re grateful to have them as part of this community! -Trent from the Cross Exchange team
